Drawing inspiration from Skip Frye’s Nozzle and the many San Diego shapers who have contributed to the evolution of the Long Fish design, the PATHFINDER is our take on this timeless concept originally pioneered by Steve Lis.
Our goal was to create a Long Fish that embodies the design’s signature glide and speed while incorporating Morey’s expertise, honed through years of shaping both alternative crafts for everyday surfers and contest-winning boards for pros surfers—under his own label and as a ghost shaper for top brands.
By blending the original concept with modern performance elements, we’ve refined the board’s speed, flow, and maneuverability, offering a balanced yet contemporary interpretation of this unique shape.
