Reviving the spirit of the past, a seven-year restoration journey breathed new life into a beat up 1967 International Scout, transforming it into the ultimate surf mobile. By stripping away modern distractions, the aim was to reconnect with the authentic essence of analog. With no radio to interrupt, worries dissolved amidst the hum of the knobby tires and the gentle whistle of gaps within the roof and window joint.
Cruising down the Pacific Coast Highway, eagerly chasing summer south swells, each mile effortlessly transported back to a golden era of coastal exploration. The Scout embodied unwavering adventure and timeless style, allowing me to rediscover the rhythm of the open road. With each turn, the pure thrill of the driving journey reignited, forging an unspoken bond between the machine, the magnetism and allure of the surf, and myself as the driver.
