Paul Takahashi @ follows his passions: an open minded surfer, DJ, creative, and multi-talented entrepreneur. A pioneer in Japanese streetwear, he created Sarcastic, during the heyday of Urahara streetwear era (circa 2000’s).
Currently running the 2 awesome surf brands below, he also continues to support companies in the street/fashion industry with design/art direction and marketing.
Q. How long have you been surfing?
I'd say just over 22 years now.
Q. How many surfboards do you own?
I technically only own two boards. But have a total of 6 in my garage at the moment.
Q. Tell us about your current favorite board. What are the dimensions?
My current favorite board is a round nosed fish with hips in the tail. Its 5’8” x 21.5" x 2.25” glassed on fins.

Q. Favorite Fin Set up: Thruster, Quad, Twin (Keel / Upright), Single, 2 + 1, finless?
I prefer thruster / tri fin set ups
Q. Why do you surf? What does surfing mean to you?
Surfing is mainly of a fun daily exercise / activity.
Q. Tell us about your other endeavors (company, job, passion project, hobbies)
I work in the street fashion industry. Mostly design & art direction but recently in marketing. I have a wetsuit brand and a board brand
